Somebody has to move first. Escrow means nobody has to.

In every deal between two people who have not worked together before, one side sends money into the dark or the other works for free. An escrow room removes that question. The money is real, it is held, and it only moves when the deal is done.

0.5% of the deal value, charged only when the deal completes. Both people need a free KrptoPay account.

Standalone escrow rooms

Open a room for any deal between two people, with no marketplace listing involved. Invite the other side, agree the terms, and fund it from your wallet balance.

How a room works

  1. Step 1

    Agree the terms

One side opens a room and invites the other. You write down what is being delivered, for how much, and by when. Both sides accept before any money moves.

  2. Step 2

    Fund the room

The payer funds from their wallet balance, or sends crypto to a deposit request linked to the room. The amount leaves their balance and is held against the deal.

  3. Step 3

    Deliver in the room

Messages and file evidence stay attached to the deal, so what was promised and what was delivered are in one place instead of scattered across chat apps.

  4. Step 4

    Release or dispute

The payer releases when satisfied and the receiver is paid. If it goes wrong, either side opens a dispute with evidence. Nothing is released while a dispute is open.

When it is worth the half percent

Escrow is not for every payment. It is for the ones where you would otherwise hesitate, or walk away.

Freelance work

The client knows the money is real. The freelancer knows it is not going anywhere. Neither has to move first on trust alone.

Private sales

Selling an account, a domain, hardware, or anything else where the handover and the payment cannot happen at the same instant.

Deals across borders

No shared bank, no shared legal system, no shared language. The room is the neutral ground both sides can agree on.

First-time counterparties

Somebody you met online, with no history and no mutual contacts. Escrow costs less than the deal you would otherwise walk away from.

What the room actually guarantees

Escrow protects the money and the record. It does not judge whether the work was any good until somebody raises a dispute, which is why writing clear terms at the start matters.

  • Both sides must accept the written terms before the room can be funded
  • Funds sit against the deal, not in the receiver's spendable balance
  • Messages and uploaded evidence are attached to the room and kept
  • Either side can open a dispute, and nothing releases while it is open
  • Higher-value rooms are routed for manual review before settlement
  • The fee is charged on completion, so an abandoned deal does not cost you

Both sides need an account. That is the whole setup.

Free to create. The escrow fee is charged only when a deal completes, so an abandoned negotiation costs neither side anything.
